CHA CHA CHA CHANGES!
Change drives growth, and here at Curam, that's exactly what we're about. I'm thrilled about the transformation of my beauty studio—it's gone from focusing solely on brows to embracing, Gua Sha treatments, skincare treatments and 1:1 trainings.
So, rewind back to last summer—I excitedly announced on my instagram about diving headfirst into an esthetician apprenticeship. It's been a whirlwind of hard work and training in this new field. This shift feels like a massive milestone!
I also flew out to Atlanta for a 3-day Nano brow class. And then last but not least…..I became a certified Gua Sha facialist. As I learn and get certified in new procedures, my goal is to keep expanding our offerings. Each new skill I acquire will find its place on our list of services.
"Choose You. Always."
It's the essence of our new philosophy—a perpetual encouragement to invest in ourselves - not as a self-centered act, but rather as a commitment to self-preservation, to ensure you are whole and can authentically give your best. Though the saying "self-care is not selfish" has become cliché, I wholeheartedly embrace it. Recognizing and claiming our worthiness of care is absolutely EVERYTHING!
Now let’s get into the name change.
JW Brow Aesthetics had to be retired for two simple reasons: (1) "JW" was linked to my former name, Jeanette Warne, which changed with my recent divorce, signaling the need for a shift and (2) 'Brow Aesthetics' no longer captured the breadth of our services beyond eyebrows.
So what would the new name be?
Enter Curam! Curam is Latin for "care". Cool, right? After much brainstorming (and a ton of back-and-forth with my daughters), we settled on Curam Brow & Aesthetics Studio. Sure, my initials aren't in the business name anymore, but honestly, I'm loving how it represents this new chapter—it's all about care, embracing change, and evolving beyond boundaries!
